And you said
"This is the first day of my life
Glad I didn’t die before I met you
Now I don’t care, I could go anywhere with you
And I’d probably be happy”

So if you want to be with me
With these things there’s no telling
We’ll just have to wait and see
But I’d rather be working for a paycheck
Than waiting to win the lottery

Ive been thinking a lot about vegetarianism. One of the most important things to me is my ability to stick to my beliefs. A man who has no strong beliefs is ignorant and a man who has strong beliefs he doesnt follow is a coward.
Animals have no strong beliefs, no ethics, they can’t consider them and arent bound by them
When we were animals who dwelled happily in the treetops and swung around all day we were herbivores with no ethics, we gradually evolved to eat meat because it facilitated our physical transformation in the body as well as the mind, and was sometimes easier to find than berries or whatever the fuck. We started to eat meat as we started to be smart enough to think ethically. And now we’re at the cusp of bionic thinking, a level of intelligence which perpetually increases itself at a faster rate, what many consider the cusp of the next stage of human evolution. Ethics are a big deal now, and as long as its logistically possible we are bound to ethics by law.
I deadset cannot eat a steak thats too rare and the other day I found myself in the fridge picking at a chicken carcass like a wild fucking animal. I’m all for embracing those parts of us which are animal, but im more for ridding ourselves of the animalistic aspects of ourselves which hold us back from becoming more than animals. I feel like my body is physically telling me not to eat meat.
Like dancing is an important relic of our animal brains but I dont think in this day and age when we can sustain ourselves without killing things, we should be killing them anyway because we like to do it.
I dont wanna get eaten so I probably shouldnt eat things that dont wanna get eaten. If you agree with that statement and you dont want to be an asshole you should probably stop eating things that dont wanna get eaten.

Food for thought

likegandalfbutdifferent:

isn’t there a university degree that is just like a bachelor of being a normal human being, where you just learn cool things, whatever random things you want, and you don’t have to pick a major in semester one or two or be screwed up forever and you dont actually have to do anything besides turn…

While the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth.
